JOEL KACHEL, original singer-songwriter/performer (Minneapolis/St. Paul), a child of the new ACOUSTIC POP ROCK wave will be sure to get your attention with his engaging stage presence and lively music. This high energy acoustic guitar player and singer will be sure to have you off your seat and wanting more of these original tunes. Joel’s entertaining and creative songs bring life to everyday experiences and stories to which today’s young people can easily relate. Whether about a happy or disheartening experience, his music conveys an upbeat or encouraging sentiment. Through his music, Joel creates an image of a glass at least half full, never half empty, leaving his audience excited, uplifted and having fun. Joel Kachel has played a broad circuit of venues and events from local restaurants, bars and clubs, colleges, coffee shops, fairs, private parties, fund-raising events and more.

Joel’s musical roots stem back into his child hood. Coming from a family with a musical background; having guitars lying around the house was a regular thing. However, it wasn’t until 2009 that Joel started taking music serious after he was asked to open for Howie Day at University of Iowa. In the Fall of 2010 Joel launch two separate tours; one two week tour in Alaska with Third Wheel Project, and a two week tour in Nashville, TN. In Alaska Joel played 13 shows, 12 out of the 14 Days, along with studio performances on 4 different Radio stations and a spot on a local T.V. show. After Joel returned back to the promise land of MN, he headed to Chicago, Indianapolis, Louisville,  and Nashville for another two week tour living in and out of his van, playing a new place every night. Ever since Joel has made this an Annual tour.

The Spring of 2011 Joel went into Waterbury Studios in Minneapolis with World Renowned Producer and Jazz Guitar Player David Becker To produce his upcoming EP release “Sounds of Crow”. David Becker has worked with artists from Miles Davis to Colbie Caillat and now he has added Joel Kachel his list! Joel’s “Crow” song has already received multiple awards and won him a number of songwriting competitions including a Texas Song Writing Cruise Competition, and a Student Emmy for his “Crow” music video.

February of 2012  Joel launched his Independent  “Sounds of Crow” European Tour. For five weeks Joel traveled playing shows in Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, France, and Spain.  While in Europe Joel got the opportunity to open up for Lisa Hannigan, Played a show with David Becker in Germany, and ended up playing world famous Whelan’s on Wexford Street in Dublin, Ireland. Because of this tour Joel Has made more contacts and are pushing him to another level!

Summer of 2012 Joel Kachel was back out in LA working on a new single and shooting a new music video for his new song “AWAY AWAY” co-written with Pro-Australian Songwriters Zelda and Pal Sheldon. Joel originally met the two while touring through Nashville back in 2010. That Fall Joel was back up in Alaska on his annual AK Tour playing over 15 shows in two weeks. After his return Joel Packed his gear and headed out to Colorado for the winter months playing 4-5 shows weekly from the mountain towns to Denver to Colorado Springs, Boulder, and Fort Collins.

Spring/Summer of 2013 Joel announced the release of  his “”AWAY AWAY”  song on his “AWAY AWAY in May” Midwest tour. Followed by an “AWAY AWAY in Alaska” tour playing places like Fineline Music Cafe- Minneapolis, MN, Hard Rock Cafe- Chicago, IL,  Forest Fair Music Festival- Girdwood, AK, and MORE!

THIS FALL Joel Kachel is back out on the west coast focusing on his full length album “POCKET CHANGE” with David Becker. While he is out there he has also set up a few performances. Saturday October 19th Joel Kachel will be performing @ Hard Rock Cafe- San Francisco Bay and Thursday October 24th you can find him at one of LA’s hottest rock venue Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach, CA .
